    Update internet browser

Advanced MYP technology requires that you use the latest version of your internet browser. Older browser versions may experience significantly lower processing speeds with MYP platforms. If your browser needs to be updated, you will see a notice like this:

Click on ‘Update now’ to update your browser.

    Session time outs

When logged in to MYP, your session will remain active for up to 20 mins. After 5 minutes of inactivity, you will receive a pop-up prompt to confirm that you are still active. For security, after a further 15 minutes of inactivity, you will be logged out.

    Manage your mobile device

Older Apple devices may also experience significantly lower processing speeds with MYP platforms as Apple has discontinued support for certain technologically obsolete and vintage products (products that have not been manufactured for more than 5 years and less than 7 years ago, and products that were discontinued more than 7 years ago).  Visit the following link to determine whether your current device is ‘obsolete’ or ‘vintage’ – https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT201624

    Personal level MYP email management

Each staff member must also manage their personal inbox to ensure MYP generated are not caught in spam/junk/clutter folders.

    Manage junk

Use the allow settings in junk to ensure MYP emails are not caught in the junk folder. Select ‘Settings’ in Outlook and add MYP to your safe senders and recipients.

To move messages from the junk folder back to the Inbox:

    • Right-click the message > select Move > Other Folder
    • Choose the inbox folder and select OK

    Manage clutter

Clutter analyses how you process all your email and uses a mix of behavioural patterns and content to determine the likelihood of you opening an email.  When the likelihood is high, an email is placed in clutter.   To stop MYP emails going to the clutter folder, move the message back to an Inbox folder or any other folder.

To move messages from the Clutter folder back to the Inbox:

    • Right-click the message > select Move > Other Folder
    • Choose the inbox folder and select OK

    Manage spam

There is no guaranteed way to ensure Outlook or other email programs will not mark your email as spam. If you are not receiving notifications from MYP in your inbox, it is essential to check your ‘Spam’ folder. Select ‘Settings’ in Outlook and add MYP to your safe senders and recipients.

To move messages from the spam folder back to the Inbox:

    • Right-click the message > select Move > Other Folder
    • Choose the inbox folder and select OK
