    Back-up schedule

All vBoX websites operate on the following back-up schedule:

    Schedule Data backed up
Daily The WordPress database. This saves a copy of all text content changes and settings (including posts, pages, titles, URLs, menu layouts, etc). Plugins, themes and images are NOT backed up. There is usually 3 to 5 days worth of back-ups available.
Weekly The entire website. All files (including themes, images and plugins) are updated along with the WordPress back-up. This back-up is replaced weekly.

These back-ups are conducted via the ‘BackUpWordPress Backup’ plugin and are stored directly on the web hosting server. In the highly unlikely event of total server failure, these back-ups will not be retrievable. vBoX subscribers who have signed up to the ‘Website Health Support Package’ have their entire website backed up offsite every 6 months as an additional failsafe.

NB: if the ‘BackUpWordPress Backup’ plugin is uninstalled or deactivated on your website, your site will no longer be backed up and MYP holds no responsibility in this instance.

    Recover from a back-up

In the event that your website needs to be recovered from a back-up, back-up copies can be retrieved via FTP from the ‘wp-content’ folder. If you need assistance with restoring a vBoX site, lodge a ‘vBoX website’ user support request in the Support Centre.
