Performance reviews are a key component of the HR function and 94six provides an efficient structure to manage this process.

It is critical that both the staff member being reviewed and the relevant manager have the opportunity to express their views.

From the performance review panel on the dashboard, a performance review can be:

    • Created
    • Edited
    • Copied
    • Report generated
    • Archived

The panel view can also be changed to display the reviews or templates. A template view allows an administrator to create a performance review template.

NB: A user who is not an administrator can only see their own reviews.

    Create performance review

The relevant team leader/manager or the staff member can create the performance review process.

    To create the performance review:

    • Select the relevant staff member from the drop-down menu, + select ‘Create’

NB: Once a performance review for a staff member is created, KPIs and key metrics will be populated automatically from the relevant position description. For subsequent reviews, the existing review can be copied and edited, or a new review can be created as outlined above.

NB: The ‘CM’ button will be displayed if a ‘Competency Measure’ has been entered in the Function section of 94six

NB: There is an additional option ‘Project review’ under ‘Review frequency’ and a text field ‘Project name’ which allows a project to be named for a specific review.

    • Provided at least one reviewer + a review date is applied to a review, the staff member will receive an email notification that they have access to their review

    Complete performance review

    • The staff member enters their self-rating + relevant comments before selecting ‘Save’
    • A pop-up will display after a reviewee clicks ‘Finish’ on a performance review

    Review performance review

    • An email is sent to the reviewer/s after the reviewee confirms the above pop-up with the following wording:

    xReviewerx

The performance review for xEmployeex is scheduled to be conducted on xDatex. xEmployeex has completed the initial phase of the process and it is now ready for you to conduct your review. To complete your review of performance, click the link below and complete the information.

    xComplete performance review linkx

Once you have completed your review, the information is available to conduct your review meeting with xEmployeex.

    • The reviewer (e.g. team leader) then completes their part of the process, entering the reviewer rating + relevant comments

    Add training to performance review

    • If training is required, both the staff member + reviewer can select the ‘Training’ checkbox beside the relevant item

If a training item has been selected, the page will refresh and a new section will be visible at the bottom of the page where the relevant training details can be entered.

NB: The options in the ‘Training type’ drop-down menu are drawn from the items created 94six > Settings > Training.

NB: Training that is scheduled within a week of the current date will be displayed on the dashboard, along with training that has not had a completion date applied.

    Finalise performance review

Once the reviewer has completed their part on the process:

    • Select ‘Save’ if further changes may be required. Alternatively, the reviewer can select ‘Save + lock’ if no further changes are to be made by the staff member
    • Remuneration review letters + reports can also be generated if required
    • The manager can display or hide their comments by selecting the hide/display button

    Create performance review template

Performance review templates provide the ability to efficiently allocate reviews to staff via the template, rather than create them individually each time.

    • Select ‘Templates’ from the drop-down menu in the performance review panel
    • Select ‘Create’
    • Review template name
    • Include a remuneration review – yes no
      • Reviewer 1
      • Reviewer 2
      • Reviewer 3
    • Select ‘Next’
    • Select review areas to be included
      • Key performance indicators
      • Functions
      • Values alignment
      • Organisation objectives
      • Core competencies
      • Skills + knowledge
    • Select Custom to create a custom section within a review template
      • Enter name
      • Description
      • Level of importance
