Once an opportunity has been identified as successful, it can be easily converted to a project with most of the data pre-populated. Customise settings to allow the copy opportunities option to show.

    • Select the side navigation bar
    • Select ‘Customisation’
    • Select ‘Settings’
    • Select ‘Yes’ OPPORTUNITIES – Copy opportunities to projects

To convert an opportunity to a project:

    • Identify the relevant client via search
    • Select ‘Opportunities’
    • Identify + select the relevant opportunity
    • Select ‘Result’ from the ‘Opportunity stage’ drop-down menu
    • Select ‘Sale successful’ from the ‘Outcome’ drop-down menu
    • If relevant, select the reason why it was successful + remove follow up date
    • Select ‘Save’

    Either:

    • Select ‘Yes’ to transfer the opportunity to a project
    • Select ‘Yes’ to use a template to create the project. Choose template + Start date, select ‘Confirm’ in the pop-up window. On the new project page add new data as required and select ‘Save’

    Or:

    • Select ‘No’ to create a new project using data from the current opportunity, then select ‘Confirm’.
    • Review the data that has been carried over from the opportunity, add new data as required + select ‘Save’

NB: When converting the opportunity using a project template, all the data will come from the project template, but any manually added notes in the opportunity will be carried over to the project. When converting the opportunity not using a template, the project is created using the data from the opportunity.

NB: Public notes/notifications visible to all task members. Internal notes/notifications visible only to internal staff.
