Streamlined price book updates are now here!

With the number of changes to pricing coming from the NDIA over recent months, it has highlighted the need for a refresh of the approach we take, at MYP, to updating pricing in the system. This new NDIS price update process will require minimal action from users and will flow through the relevant areas of the platform seamlessly.

Below are the key changes to the update process, when the ‘Update schedules of support for all clients’ button in ‘GENIUS > Settings > Client engagements’ is clicked:

  • All price books with NDIS line items that have never been manually updated will now be updated
  • Price books will no longer be duplicated, and the updates will be made directly to the existing price books
  • Entire price books can be excluded from the price book update process by selecting the ‘Exclude from price book updates’ option on the ‘EDIT PRICE BOOK’ page
    • Price books that contain line items that should not be updated must be marked as ‘Exclude from price book updates’, to avoid line items from being mistakenly updated or archived, which may cause issues in PocketWatch and/or GENIUS.
    • Any items from price books marked as ‘Exclude from price book updates’ will be pulled through to the new schedule of support without changes, and will not prevent the schedule from being automatically finalised
  • You can now preview the updates that will be made to the price books and schedules of support without applying the changes by clicking the ‘Preview’ button. This will send an email that outlines all of the proposed changes.

  • New report: The ‘Shift Invoice Report’ is now available in ‘PocketWatch > Reports’. This report details the relationship between PocketWatch shifts and the relevant GENIUS client’s NDIS items. Staff must have the relevant PocketWatch permission in ARM to generate this report.
