Allowances are synced to the timesheets in MYOB from PocketWatch.  There is additional set-up required for the allowances to sync successfully into MYOB.

    Set up allowances in MYOB

    • Select ‘Payroll’ from the Command Centre menu
    • Select ‘Command Centre’
    • Select ‘Payroll Categories’
    • Allowances must be set up as fixed hourly rate of $1 (This allows the total of the allowance to be mapped correctly.  If the account it set up as a regular rate then each unit of allowance will be paid at the employees hourly rate)

    Map allowances in API settings

    • Select ARM Pro > Administration > API Settings
    • Open ‘Allowances’
    • Select the relevant account from the ‘–Select account –’ drop-down menu
    • Map the PocketWatch allowances to the MYOB Payroll categories using the drop-downs
    • Select ‘Save’

NB: Each allowance in PocketWatch MUST be mapped to a MYOB Payroll category otherwise the sync will fail. PocketWatch allowances are located in PocketWatch > Settings > Allowances.  Each employee must also be approved to be paid these allowances (refer to timesheet sync instructions).

NB: When claiming a KM allowance by completing the KM allowance section in the PocketWatch ‘CHECK IN/CHECK OUT’ page, staff will also have to add the travel as an allowance category as only the allowance categories are synced to the timesheets, not the KM allowance field.

Export timesheets from MYP to MYOB

    • Select ARM Pro > Administration > API Settings
    • Open ‘Structure’
    • In the ‘Timesheet’ row, select the relevant account from the ‘Export to’ drop-down
    • Select ‘Export’

NB: You will receive an email notification that lists all export successes and failures.

Allowances will appear in the staff member’s timesheet as per the example below. If any part of the time sheet is incorrect, select ‘Clear Timesheet’ and re-sync.

    Process payroll

    • Process payroll as per usual.
    • Timesheets that have not been processed will appear in the display of unprocessed timesheets.  If any are to be excluded, select before proceeding.
